Randy
T. Slovin is a partner in the Cincinnati based law firm of Slovin & Associates Co., LPA.
He has over 25 years of experience in representing
creditors, collection agencies, credit card providers,
landlords, medical providers and other lenders. His
practice is concentrated in the areas of collection law,
consumer and commercial litigation, bankruptcy,
landlord-tenant matters, and compliance with both federal
and state consumer credit and collection laws.
Randy
is a certified practitioner in creditors’ rights law by
the American Board of Certification.
Further, Randy recently served as chair of the
Commercial Law League of America’s (“CLLA) committee on
the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, as well as co-chair
of their Government Affairs Committee, and is a past chair
of the CLLA’s Midwest Region.
He is also a member of the American Collectors
Association, the National Association of Credit Management,
the Debt Buyers Association, and the National Association of
Retail Collection Attorneys.

He is one of the founding
members of the Ohio Creditors’ Attorney Association. Randy
has been a frequent speaker and panelist before these
organizations and numerous others.
He has also served as an expert witness in cases
concerning alleged violations of the federal Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act.
Randy
is a 1980 graduate of Indiana University (B.A.) and a 1983
graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law
(J.D.) He is
licensed to practice law in Ohio
and Kentucky, as well as in numerous federal courts,
including the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S.
Supreme Court. |

Brad
A. Council is an associate in the Cincinnati
based law firm of Slovin & Associates Co., LPA.
His practice covers all areas of commercial
litigation, creditor’s rights including compliance
with federal and state consumer credit and
collection laws, and landlord-tenant matters.
He frequently represents national banking
associations, medical service providers,
debt-buyers, and other credit grantors in the areas
of creditor’s rights and account receivables
management. He
also regularly advises and counsels these
organizations on issues related to compliance with
the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and
federal Fair Credit Reporting Act as well as similar
state law acts and regulations.
Brad also represents manufacturers,
sub-contractors, and material suppliers involving
actions under the Uniform Commercial Code relating
to sales, leases, and secured transactions.
Brad
received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of
Illinois at Chicago in 2003 and his Juris Doctor
from the Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P.
Chase College of Law in 2006.
During law school Brad served as the
Symposium Editor for the Northern Kentucky Law
Review. Brad
is licensed to practice law in the States of Ohio,
Kentucky, and Indiana.
He is also licensed to practice before the U.S.
District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.
Brad is a member of the Ohio State Bar
Association, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the
Kentucky Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar
Association.
